Fort Lee, New Jersey, April 13, 2009:  OE Solutions Co, Ltd., a global supplier of high performance optoelectronic transceiver solutions for fiber optical communications, announced the introduction of full line of its HD Video SFF and SFP transceivers including lone-reach CWDM optics.  This new product portfolio will help 3G/HD/ED/SD video system manufacturers introduce new fiber solutions.<?XML:NAMESPACE PREFIX = O />

Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) has standards for handling high definition video signals with pathological pattern. SMPTE’s standards currently call for 259M (SD-SDI), 344 (ED-SDI), 292M (HD-SDI) and 424M (3G-SDI). “424M”  is a standard which expands upon SMPTE 259M, SMPTE 344M, and SMPTE292M allowing
for bit-rates of 2.970 Gbit/s and 2.970/1.001 Gbit/s over a signle-link cable. These bit-rates are suffienct for 1080p
video at 50 or 60 frames per second.

“Because of high demand in HD video from broadcasting to medical and military applications, the video industry is shifting its emphasis towards HD video production, ” said John Kwak, Director of Business of Development at OE Solutions America.  “With boosted upsurge in bandwidth for HD signals, the industry is naturally driving the infrastructure towards fiber. OE Solutions is thrilled to participate as one of the contributors in making video revolution possible.”   Applications for HD video transceivers are all over.  Broadcasting market is prevalent area but other areas such as aerospace, medical, signage and military are also benefiting from this technology.  OE Solutions’ new CWDM long-reach option will even enable telecom service providers to offer uncompressed video transport services.

OE Solutions HD video solutions are available in both SFF and SFP packages with standard pin configurations. These parts are available in five different configurations, i.e. transmitter only, receiver only, dual-transmitter, dual-receiver and transceiver.
