OE Solutions, AimValley and Creanord introduce Smart Service Assurance solutions
By OE Solutions
CHICAGO, June 17, 2014 — OE Solutions and AimValley, in collaboration with Creanord today introduce vendor independent Smart Service Assurance solutions using Smart SFPs for IP OAM and Ethernet OAM, together with CreaNODE 3000 Advanced Probe and reporting in EchoVault.
The IP OAM and Ethernet OAM Smart SFP™ from OE Solutions and AimValley interwork seamlessly with the CreaNODE 3000, herewith offering service providers a complete and cost-effective end-to-end Smart Service Assurance Solution for both IP and Ethernet networks. Together, these products enable SDN-ready performance monitoring, allowing commodity nodes to be extended with hardware-accurate time-stamping for undisputed measurement accuracy, simply by replacing a conventional SFP with a Smart SFP™.
OAM Smart SFP™ provides customers with a vendor-independent solution for monitoring and troubleshooting using standardized protocols for IP or Ethernet service monitoring, together with physical layer monitoring via remote DDMI digital diagnostics retrieval. The Smart SFP™ delivers these integrated OAM capabilities at Gigabit Ethernet wire speed with very low latency, while serving a wide range of optical and reach applications.
CreaNODE 3000 Advanced Probe is a powerful initiator for layer 2 and layer 3 Service Assurance that empowers you to extract performance metrics from already deployed multi-vendor networks. It scales beyond 10 000 measurement targets without compromising precision. This makes it unique in fulfilling the requirement to assure four or more Classes of Service with one single unit, while still scaling to thousands of sites.
“Smart SFP™ together with CreaNODE 3000 Advanced Probe allow you to easily upgrade any network to support highly accurate TWAMP or Y.1731 measurements,” said Antti Pappila, CTO of Creanord. “This lays the foundation for retrieving high quality data for use in capacity management, fault management, service reporting, but also automatic reconfiguration in the SDN context. The higher the quality of the measurement data, the further your network can be optimized. The better your network visibility is, the faster and better your decision-making becomes. On top of this the reporting power of EchoVault lets you build customer trust with open, to-the-point clear service and SLA reporting.”
“With the introduction of the OAM 3.0 Smart SFP™, we now have a full portfolio of pluggable Service Assurance products for both Ethernet and IP networks,” said Jan Venema, CTO of AimValley and panelist at the Big Telecom Event. “Together with Creanord we provide a best in class SLA solution, offering operators the choice to offer network service assurance at layer 2 or layer 3.”
