OE Solutions extends the 40km reach SFP+ Transceivers to Industrial Temperature (-40 oC ~ +80 oC) Operation
By OE Solutions
Fort Lee, New Jersey, September 16, 2008: OE Solutions Co, Ltd., a global supplier of high performance optoelectronic transceiver solutions for wireless and wireline optical communications, announced the introduction of Industrial Temperature Operating SFP+ transceivers for 10Gb/s Ethernet 40km reach applications.
This industry first 40km reach SFP+ is compliant with IEEE 802.3ae 10G BASE-E, SFP+ MSA, and Digital diagnostic SFF 8472 Rev10.2, while operating from -40 oC to +85 oC case temperature. This 1550nm transceiver is also RoHS compliant and has a typical data rate of 10.3 Gb/s with a link budget of greater than 15dB.
RSPX0SER-IT5 10Gb/s 40km SFP+ is a new addition to OE Solutions’ Industrial temperature(IT) 10Gb/s SFP+ and XFP module series; RSPX0SLR-IT3 10km SFP+, RTXX0SER-IT5 40km XFP, RTXX0SLR-IT3 10km XFP, and RTXX0SS1-IT3 2km XFP.
“As SFP+ and XFP become the industry’s de facto form factors for 10Gb/s transceiver modules in the high density port applications, expanding their operation to the industrial temperature range is a paramount for their use in the hardened environment such as for outdoor applications” stated Dr. MoonSoo Park, CTO and Head of Engineering of OE Solutions. “At OE Solutions, leveraging our leadership of the industrial temperature Small Form Pluggable technology, we have pushed the long reach SFP+ and XFP to extend its operation to the extreme temperature range for the first time in the transceiver industry.”
OE Solutions will be exhibiting this IT 40km reach SFP+ 10Gb/s transceivers at the upcoming ECOC’08 Conference and Exposition in Brussels, Belgium on September 22-24 in booth #383.
