OE Solutions introduces EX14 Transport NID

By OE Solutions

Las Vegas, CTIA, May 21, 2013 – OE Solutions Co, Ltd introduces the EX14: a compact Carrier-class Network Interface Device.

After successfully introducing the Smart SFP™ as a result of their strategic partnership with AimValley BV, OE Solutions is pleased to announce that it is now also a reseller of AimValley’s products. One of the products is the EX14, a compact Carrier-class solution for Demarcation and Media Conversion at the network edge. Using small form pluggable (SFP) transceivers, EX14 supports a wide range of optical interfaces. A second electrical 1GE port, transparent for Synchronous Ethernet, reduces cost in Mobile Backhaul applications. Digital Diagnostics Monitoring (DDM) is fully supported to enable both on-site and remote checking of optical power levels. A robust metal housing and dual power inputs emphasize its Telecom-grade quality.

“Our customers demand an SLA assurance solution that verifies critical service parameters such as end-to-end service availability, frame loss ratio and frame delay of Ethernet Services in their network,” says Richard Burroughs, Director of Sales at OE Solutions. “Just like the OAM Smart SFP, the EX14 provides the key performance indicators that enable Mobile Backhaul and Business Ethernet Access operators to provide optimized quality of experience to end users”.

The EX14 Transport NID supports CFM OAM IEEE 802.1ag Connectivity Fault Management (CFM) and ITU-T Y.1731 Frame Loss (LM) and Frame Delay (DM) measurement to monitor and optimize Service Level Agreements (SLA). Using Creanord’s EchoVault system, or the Titan API for tight integration with customers’ management systems, network operators can provision and monitor all relevant parameters for optimal Quality of Experience. Because of its small size and low power consumption, the EX14 is ideally suited for Mobile Backhaul and Business Ethernet Access applications in locations with space and dissipation restrictions.
