OE Solutions Announces Cooled Single Channel Transceiver
By OE Solutions
Anaheim, California
March 20, 2013:
OE Solutions Co, Ltd., a global supplier of intelligent, high performance optoelectronic transceiver solutions for wireless and wireline optical communications, introduces Cooled Single Channel (CSC) bi-directional transceiver that supplements the usage of its popular SWSF (Single-Wavelength Single-Fiber) transceiver.
While the SWSF bi-directional transceivers use the identical wavelengths for both uplink and downlink, CSC transceivers use two separate neighboring wavelengths within a given CWDM channel for upstream and downstream.
“SWSF transceivers benefit the customers with the efficiency and the convenience for system architecture. However, there existed nuisances from the usage of APC at interconnect,” said Dr. MoonSoo Park, CTO at OE Solutions. “With the new CSC solution, the customers can now choose the alternative without deploying APC at interconnect and receive the same design benefits as with the SWSF transceivers.” As do most of OE Solutions’ transceivers, this product line satisfies industrial temperature requirement, i.e. -40 ~ 85 degC.
Having single-wavelength option with either CSC or SWSF transceiver, customers can double the number of links with limited number of wavelengths given in the CWDM system. It also allows customers to reduce the number of Mux/Demux in the system. As the leader in single fiber transceiver technology, OE Solutions has been offering the solutions that can give more flexibility for customer’s architecture. CSC solution is another example of the customized solutions from the company.
OE Solutions will exhibit in booth #2752 at the OFC/NFOEC 2013, at the Anaheim convention center in Anaheim, California, USA.
