HILVERSUM, the Netherlands and GWANGJU, Korea, March 6, 2014 \u2014 OE Solutions and AimValley are introducing Chronos Smart SFP\u2122 TS (Transparent SyncE) to support synchronization on electrical Gigabit Ethernet links.<\/p>\n

Chronos Smart SFP\u2122 TS conforms to the Synchronous Ethernet (SyncE) standard defined by ITU-T and is fully transparent for Precision Time Protocol (PTP) messages as defined in IEEE 1588v2 over a copper connection. This product allows operators to utilize copper Ethernet cables on SFP ports while still fulfilling the stringent timing requirements in applications such as LTE-Advanced in mobile networks.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe new Chronos Smart SFP\u2122 TS is an electrical Gigabit Ethernet SFP that is SyncE-compliant in both directions. The product matches delays in both ingress and egress directions for the IEEE 1558v2 PTP messages to ensure accurate time-of-day synchronization.
