AMSTERDAM, October 21, 2014 \u2014 OE Solutions and AimValley announce two new Smart SFPs, TPoP (Transparent PDH over Packet) and CSoP (Channelized SONET\/SDH over Packet). TPoP and CSoP extend the Smart SFP\u2122 Network Migration portfolio, which is a leading solution for plug-and-play TDM to Packet migration.<\/p>\n

TPoP Smart SFP\u2122 enables transport of an E1 signal over packet and WDM networks when plugged into a switch or a router. In addition, a channelized STM-1\/OC-3 product is introduced: CSoP Smart SFP\u2122. CSoP aggregates up to 63 E1 channels from different service end-points in an SFP form factor.<\/p>\n

TPoP and CSoP Smart SFP\u2122 are efficient and cost-effective solutions for network migration. Before the introduction of the TPoP and CSoP Smart SFP\u2122, network operators had to install dedicated circuit emulation cards in their routers or switches, or needed to deploy a dedicated TDM-over-Packet equipment box. TPoP and CSoP, SFP-based Smart Network Migration technology, enable operators to migrate and integrate their TDM based transport network onto a single technology packet network. The solutions can also bring benefits to utility network operators who have many smaller data streams.<\/p>\n
